Our Beliefs
Statement of Faith
What we believe as a church is not man-made but has been revealed by God in Scripture. Though we can charitably disagree about many things, we remain united in our common Christian faith. Our church’s Statement of Faith addresses the following beliefs:
1. The Scriptures
2. The True God
3. Humanity and the Fall
4. The Way of Salvation
5. Justification
6. The Freeness of Salvation
7. Grace in Regeneration
8. Repentance and Faith
9. God’s Purpose of Grace
10. Sanctification
11. The Perseverance of Saints
12. The Harmony of the Law and the Gospel
13. A Gospel Church
14. Baptism and the Lord’s Supper
15. The Lord’s Day
16. Civil Government
17. The Righteous and the Wicked
18. The World to Come
Church Covenant
To be a member of a church is to be a integral part of a spiritual family. It is to commit yourself to the good of the other members in that family, even as they commit to your good. Our church covenant is a set of promises that we make to one another as members of Wornall Road Baptist Church. If our Statement of Faith is our declaration of what we believe, our Covenant is our commitment to one another about how we will live.
