Aaron Menikoff

Aaron is Senior Pastor at Mount Vernon Baptist Church in Sandy Springs, GA. He has been pastor there since June 2008 after completing his Master of Divinity in Biblical and Theological Studies and his Ph.D. in American Church History from Southern Seminary.

Previously, Aaron has served on staff as an elder at Capitol Hill Baptist Church in Washington, D.C. While in seminary, Aaron served as an elder and interim pastor at Third Avenue Baptist Church.

Aaron is the organizer and host of Feed My Sheep, an annual conference for pastors and church leaders in the Atlanta area. He also serves on the administrative team of the Greater Atlanta Baptist Network, where he leads a monthly pastors fellowship.

In addition to pastoral ministry, Aaron is an Adjunct Professor of Church History at Reformed Theological Seminary (Atlanta), the author of Character Matters (Moody, 2020, read excerpts here and here) and Politics and Piety: Baptist Social Reform in America, 1770-1860 (Pickwick, 2014), and co-host of the Island Idylls podcast.

Mike Summers

Mike is Lead Teaching Pastor at Countryside Church in Overland Park, KS. He started Countryside as a small church plant in 1989. For more than 33 years, he has shepherded the church through many different seasons of growth and change. While pastoring and leading, Mike earned both his masters and doctoral degrees from the former Northland University in Wisconsin.

Outside the primary responsibilities of studying and preaching, he also spends much of his time counseling with families, couples, and individuals. He is the head of our Journey to Judea ministry, overseeing the many teams and group leads. He has written two books: Help! My Spouse Has Been Unfaithful and Life In Christ: A New Disciple’s Guide To Following Jesus. He has been married to Karen since 1982 and has 6 children and 14 grandchildren.

philip van steenburgh

Philip is the Lead Pastor of Wornall Road Baptist Church, a role he has served in since 2023. Before becoming Lead Pastor, he was WRBC’s Associate Pastor and has over a decade of ministry experience in places like Dubai, Cape Cod, and Kansas City.

Originally from Albany, NY, and later Greenville, SC, Philip moved to Washington, D.C. after college to work in congressional politics. While attending Capitol Hill Baptist Church, he developed a deeper passion for the Gospel, the church, and helping others understand God’s Word. After leaving politics, he pursued pastoral ministry through an internship and staff role at Capitol Hill Baptist, eventually earning his Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Philip is married to Katherine, and they have three children and a dog.
